The Hanoi University of Public Health and Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, in collaboration with Eleanor Krassen Covan, Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal HEALTH CARE FOR WOMEN INTERNATIONAL, are pleased to launch a call for papers for a special issue “Women’s health and health care in Viet Nam”

Objectives
The objectives of the special issue are:
1) To provide scientific evidence for health planning, management and policy design to promote women’s health and to improve health care practice for women in Vietnam;
2) To share research findings on women’s health and health care issues in Vietnam with the rest of the world; and
3) To improve research and scientific writing capacity of Vietnamese scientists.
Main topics (but not limited to)
We welcome researchers who address issues of women health’s and health care in the fields of public health, social science, health care practice, and health care policy. Specific topics include cultural differences, alternative lifestyles, domestic violence, public health issues associated with the aging of the population, maternal morbidity and mortality, infectious diseases, and a host of other gender-based ethical issues.
Criteria for selection of research papers
Original research or reviews, in accordance with guidelines for authors published on the website of Health Care for Women International
All research articles must undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by two anonymous referees.
Registration
Please submit the abstract of your paper (not more than 300 words), including tentative title, author(s), objectives, methods (design, study subject, sample size, sampling, study variables/contents, analysis), tentative results and conclusion BY FEB 15, 2017 to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Van (ntv.hsph@gmail.com) and copy to Mr. Duong Minh Duc (dmd@huph.edu.vn)
