The Hanoi University of Public Health (www.huph.edu.vn) and the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice (http://www.JPHMP.com), are pleased to launch the call for papers for supplement “Public health in transitional Vietnam”

Objectives
To improve research capacity of Vietnamese scientists, by providing an additional publication to provide scientific evidence for policy changes and interventions; and
To share research findings on various critical public health issues from Vietnam with the rest of the world.
Main topics
The following topics are expected to be addressed (but not limited to):
Health profile in transitional Vietnam
Epidemiology of chronic non-communicable diseases
Emerging and re-emerging of infectious diseases
Health impacts of environmental and climate change and
Aging and health care of the elderly
Gender and health
Inequity in health and health care
Social determinants of health
Health system and health policies
Effectiveness and efficiency of health interventions
Etc.

Registration (submission of abstracts to guest editors): April 1, 2017
Notifications to authors on the results of abstract review: May 1, 2017
Submission of manuscripts to the Department of Science and Technology Management for internal interview: June 15, 2017
Submission of manuscripts to IPHMP: July 01, 2017
Peer-review process: November 15, 2017
Online publication: December, 2017
Publishing the supplement: February, 2018
Launch the supplement: March 2018
Criteria for selection of research papers
Research papers addressing public health issues in Vietnam
Original research or reviews, in accordance with guidelines for authors published on the website of Journal of Public Health Management and Practice
All research articles must undergo rigorous peer review process
Registration
Please submit the abstract of your paper (not more than 300 words), including tentative title, author(s), objectives, methods (design, study subject, sample size, sampling, study variables/contents, analysis), tentative results and conclusion by April 1, 2017 to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Van (ntv.hsph@gmail.com) and Assoc. Professor Hoang Van Minh (hvm@huph.edu.vn )
