Job satisfaction and some related factors among health workers in Chau Thanh district general hospital, Dong Thap province, 2017

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate job satisfaction and to identify its associated factors among health workersin Chau Thanh District General Hospital, Dong Thap province.

Methods: The cross sectional study, combine qualitative and quantitative method was conducted with 110 self-administered interviewees and six in-depth interviews and three focus group discussions with different types of health providers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists and technicians) at the Chau Thanh District General Hospital.

Main findings: Only 15.45% health workers satisfed with their current job. Five factors were identifed which associated with the job satisfaction amongst health workers at Chau Thanh District General Hospital: Facilities and equipment support, salary, support of the colleagues, professional development and training opportunities.
